I have just finished watching the vice-presidential debate by Governor Sarah Palin and Senator Joe Biden. It was very exciting. It allowed us to hear with our own ears from their heart the real person they each are. It did not come to us with the cream “skimmed” off the top by some controlled media announcer or reporter who is paid to make one or the other look bad. Both Governor Sarah Palin and Senator Joe Biden spoke from their hearts, and are beautiful souls. We may not agree with all they said, but I am sure they are sincere, and mean well.

During the next four weeks, they will be working hard, but we must also rise to the occasion, as intercessors, and pray like we never prayed before. Lord, Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven! May we not have our own agenda, either. God has a plan for this nation. As Ronald Reagan said, “America is a city set on a hill.” To keep a lamp shining bright there are four things necessary.

You need to keep the chimney clean. It takes water and soap, and a clean cotton cloth to cleanse and polish it so the light can shine brightly. A chimney that has been blackened with smoke will not radiate the light out into the room.

You need to trim the wick by cutting it straight across with a sharp scissor. If it is not even, it will not burn correctly and cause smoking. We need God to trim our spiritual wicks by letting God cut out of our lives the things that would bring shame to His name, and to our honour.

You need to fill the lamp with good, clean coal oil. America needs a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Old, contaminated oil will not work. Every one of us needs a fresh “infilling” of HIS Oil.

You need to light the wick with a match. We need the fire of God back in our Churches. John the Baptist said in Matthew 3:11: “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but HE that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: HE shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: “Then it will not matter much who is in office, Christ or Antichrist: The Almighty God will be in control, and we will have revival like we never had before—even in the midst of persecution and depression, or recession. The Church was birthed in Anti-Christ times 1 John 2:18).

On October 4 at midnight on the east coast, Women’s Aglow will be passing the Intercessor’s Torch over to us. End-Time Handmaidens and Servants will be responsible to pray throughout the night every night through November 4 (the night of the election). We are the midnight watchmen on the wall of Zion. If we fail, the “city” will fall in the hands of the enemy. We should all pray for one hour every night from midnight until 6 a.m. EST. Each time-zone can pray from midnight to 1:00 a.m. their time or you can choose a time that works best for you.

Another of our beloved End-Time Handmaidens has gone home to her Heavenly reward. Margaret Marie "Maggie" Beni, wife of End-Time Servant Ed Beni from Welland, Ontario has been called into the presence of the Lord on September 3, 2008. She was a beautiful soul and could sing like an angel. Let us remember Ed and the family in our prayers. Papa Jim and I always appreciated how Ed came and trimmed our pear tree. They're going down the valley, one by one.
